2005 Duke Basketball Schedule

The city of Durham, North Carolina will once again be home to some great action this fall as the 2005 Duke basketball schedule will pit the Blue Devils against some of the toughest opponents in the NCAA. Fans can always look forward to seeing the team in blue and white step onto the Cameron Indoor Stadium court to square off against their Atlantic Coast Conference rivals from North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, Clemson, Miami, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and for the first time this season, Boston College. Each of these games packs a tremendous amount of intensity as year in and year out each of these schools struggle for conference supremacy. Of course, Duke has dominated recently, Of course, Duke has dominated in recent years, winning 14 ACC tournaments, including six of the last seven. Yes, without a doubt there will be high hopes for the Blue Devil basketball team during the 2005-06 season.

2005 Duke Basketball Schedule

In August, the 2005 Duke Basketball Schedule was released by the the ACC. The Blue Devils will open the season on November 14 at Cameron Indoor Stadium as they meet Boston University as part of the Preseason National Invitation Tournament (NIT). In addition to the Preseason NIT, Duke will play a non-conference schedule that includes, among other opponents, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Valparaiso, St. John’s, UNC Greensboro, Bucknell, Georgetown and Temple. Their first ACC opponent of the upcoming season will be Virginia Tech, who travel to Durham on Sunday, December 4. Duke's will host both Wake Forest and NC State this season, with the Demon Deacons coming to Durham on Sunday, January 8 and the Wolfpack visiting Cameron Indoor Stadium on Wednesday, January 18. Duke will play the North Carolina Tar Heels twice this season, once as visitors to Chapel Hill on Tuesday, February 7 and once as the home team in the season's final game, to be held on Saturday, March 4.
