Duke Basketball Seating Chart

Upon examination of the Duke basketball seating chart really doesn't show why Cameron Indoor Stadium is such a vaunted and feared place to play. Judging from the chart, it looks like a rather small and boring locale. It is mostly rectangular in shape and has only two levels of seating. The upper level houses sections 1 through 16, while the tier closest to the playing surface contains sections 17, 18, 19 and 20. Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19 are located behind the home and away bench areas. And really, that's about it for the 65 year old stadium, on paper at least. So what is it that makes Cameron Indoor Stadium such a famous or infamous place to play a college basketball game? Its mostly because of the fans, the "Cameron Crazies" as they are known, and the fact that the stadium is set up in just such a way as to maximize their psychological impact on the opposing team.

Duke Basketball Seating Chart: The People In Those Seats

When you look at the Duke basketball seating chart, you're not just looking at seat locations. You're looking at a perfectly conceived strategy designed specifically to allow the fans to have a noticeable effect on the game. There are just over 9,300 seats available at the venue, and each one offers an excellent view of the on-court action. With so few tickets available for every game, the demand for them goes through the roof, meaning that only the most hardcore Duke basketball fans will gain entry to that big game against the Tar Heels or the Wolfpack. Also, with the seats laid out as they are around the court, those revved-up fans can rest assured that their voices will be heard by the opposition. It can get pretty insane, in a good way. Hey, its not like they call them "Cameron Crazies" for nothing, right?
